Renting a game is not another form of piracy really. Though i can see the comparisons, but piracy is a bit worse. With renting a game, the store first has to buy copies of the game (that money then goes to the developers and publishers).

MrCash: Actually you're giving the pirates an excuse. You're assuming that their actions are harmless, but in actuality companies lose alot of potential sales. What if the pirate likes the game? You think he would actually buy it after he beat the game? Most likely not. He or she played what the game had to offer, its not like there's a special incentive if he or she purchases the game, cause he had his fun time to move on.
And of course game sales would skyrocket...
You're assuming those people were gonna buy the game to begin with, which is not true. Why buy a game when you can get it for free. Free beats anything. Its just pure greed, simple as that.
And also that's why companies put out demo's. So people can have a try at it before they buy.

The Gaming Subculture is filled with sexist and misogynistic people (not all but the majority are, if there weren't we wouldn't have articles like these popping here once in awhile). That's not going to happen. FailOverFlow pretty much told them the answer is to pretty much recall all the PS3's in the world (which is not going to happen cause it would cost Sony much more money), since the security keys are in the hardware itself. So the PS3 is cracked for good. The only thing Sony can do is brick there consoles from PSN, other then that they can't do much.
Why would Sony or any company hire sumone like this? This is the person who pretty much found a way for Sony to lose potential sales on games and have a rocky relationship with developers. Obviously he lacks boundary skills and can't be trusted, especially when it comes down to the field of security.

Sum of the comments i've read here are kinda hypocritical.
I do feel bad that Enslaved didn't sell well, but it had sum bad traits to it. One of them not having enough replay value, hand-holding platforming, and sub-par frame rate. Other then that the story was very engaging (well, until the end).

Why are people mentioning Naughty Dog and Guerilla? Those are 1st Party Developers who are owned by Sony. The reason they didn't do Heavenly Sword 2 is because they don't own the IP, Sony does. And since Sony isn't looking to do a Heavenly Sword 2 well then...that's not Ninja Theory's problem. Even if Sony were to make HS 2, doesn't mean automatically that NT will work on it, they might hire a different team.
